how is dual channel ram different from single channel ram.

will all mobo working with single channel RAM support the dual ch Ram ??

This is purely technical question and in order to understand you should have some knowledge in memory controller .

concept is separate channels allow each memory module access to the memory controller, increasing throughput bandwidth. This concept is introduced to avoid bottlenecks between Increased processor speed and other less pace components such as memory controllers..

Mobo Purchased last 3 0r 4 years does support DUAL CHANNELS. For better dual channel it is advised to use same brand and same timings to perform good. Although two different brands will run and limited to whichever is lower..

so dual Ch Ram is reliable and faster than a single channel is it.???

suggest me some mobo ranging around 5 k....best one to suit my AMD Athlon x4 635

what does this means..same brand ??? ( what are the 2 stuffs u r comparing here )

yes, Dual Channel RAM is faster than single channel ... some applications gain well, while other don't and perform same as single channel...

same brand in the sense...
ex. 2xCorsair DDR3 1333 9-9-9-24 , this is spec's
performs at dual channel with mentioned details.

non same brand

1xcorsair DDR3 1333 8-8-8-24
1xHynix DDR3 1066 9-9-9-24
if you try to run them in dual channel ,they both will run as DDR3 1066 9-9-9-24. Lower speed will run no matter how high spec you use other stick.. so here the high end stick is wasted or limited to lower speed stick.

ASROCK N68C-S is good for your processor. cost 2100
GIGABYTE MA74GMT-S2 is 740 chipset .cost 2650.

Tell me your main purpose for PC ,, if your purpose is for normal internet, movies, small gaming then above two are more than enough to use....

Play mid range games & watch 1080p HD movies. mobo with IGP & HDMI port 7.1 channel audio...Looking for a mobo with 6 Gb/s SATA port & USB3 if it comes within my range Rs.5000

yes, Dual Channel RAM is faster than single channel
I think the terminology is not correct here as there is no special ram which is called dual channel ram. The proper term is dual channel memory configuration and any kind of ram can be arranged in dual channel configuration.
A motherboard north bridge or a On-Die memory controller having dual channel configuration can access both the memory modules separately to increase the throughput.
