I know the title is a bit absurd but anyways.

I use Ubuntu 6.06LTS and some days b4 I downloaded and installed the firewall Lokkit, I then uninstalled it and installed a new one, firestarter.
Now when the computer boots up, in the services menu, it shows:
Starting the firewall environment: Lokkit:confused:

and when I shut down the comp., it shows:
Stopping the firewall: Firestarter:confused:

Hows is that possible???

And one more thing, is the firestarter running in the background when I switch on the PC or do I need to start it manually b4 I use the net???

Maybe you didn't remove lokkit properly, it's init file seems to have been left behind.
It depends on whether firestarter was configured to start at boot or not.
