I have ASUS M3A78-EM(rev 1.03G) & Phenom II x4 955 , XFX 9600GT 512MB. CM extreme 600W .
I pc was under my bed for eight months(packed). When i tried to run it last week PC booted & POST properly , but no display was coming from my gfx card. Power is coming from PCI x16 slot, fan of gfx card is rotating(i checked with removing the 6-pin power connector from gfx card). It worked fine from 2008 with Athlon x2 5200+ till march 2011 , then it went under my bed :D (then i had to travel back & forth to Hyderabad & Kolkata).
current BIOS 2701. But with onboard Radeon 3200 it is working properly. I use a DVI to VGA converter, any chance it went kaput?
What's the problem ?

cleaned the rams with eraser, but still no display
inserted only one stick
is there any chance my pci x 16 slot went kaput?

my gfx card has two DVI & one s-video

i tried connecting to two DVI port - no display
tried the s-video cable with a TV - TV displays no input signal
gfx card is ok i think( the fan is spining on the gfx card when pc is on).
pc boots normally cause i can hear the windows sound

Hmmm, maybe you removed the jumper key by mistake while assembling. Check it out please.

Or maybe your dvi to vga converter went kaput ?

try Bios Setting . If your Pci is Disabled or it has setting to select which Display to prefer (It might be preferring 'IGA' instead OF PCI)

Boot through onboard graphics. Go to the BIOS settings and change preferred display to PCI-ex. Also if possible, check your graphics card in another system to be doubly sure.
