disk defrgmenter is not working **************

For speeding up my win xp pro, i've set to manual some services in SERVICES.MSC, due to that my system is unable to defrag. Also whenever i'm trying to open MICROSOFT WORD (office xp), i get this error message in starting:
"THE DOCUMENT COULD NOT BE REGISTERED. IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CREATE LINKS FROM OTHER DOCUMENTS TO THIS DOCUMENT"
And also office assistant is not working.

Set all your services to "Default Pro" (or Home) setting.

It's probably a case of corrupted registry ...

try this ...
go to start -> run -> type "winword /r" and enter
this should register word in the windows registry ..

or else ...
