Difference between * & *www

Some people jsut like to act smart with useless moves LOL

If someone like John Gruber does it, there has got to be some reason behind it. And I can bet my money that it will be an intelligent reason, not something as stupid and trivial as trying to act smart.

But why go through the trouble of all that redirection?

well the person asked the question needed a solution !! therefore i gave one which i know !!

Now why one would one to go with redirection... to me i had to use one with portal4webhost.com (my site) which is running SMF in php 5 enviroment.. for some reason a SEO mod will only oparate under www stage therefore i used the .htaccess to redirect all * requests to *www ones !! this is just a example... there are few application in some state they would need to oparate under either *www or under *....
