at this budget u shld opt for min 16GB of ddr3 1600mhz RAM with 256 GB SSD i7 4770k + MAXIMUS VI extreme + gtx 780 Ti anything less is an insult to this budget (i.e i m assuming u hav this budget for the rig)

But I thought nothing wants 16gb of RAM.
256 GB SSD i7 4770k (Ya, OK)

People here told me to get R9 280x, and I know absolutely nothing about graphics card, so I think I will go with R9 280x

MAXIMUS VI extreme -- I was thinking to get GA-Z87X-OC, from what I have heard, gigabyte has better support for hackintosh.

(i.e i m assuming u hav this budget for the rig) , Indeed it is my budget.

from developer perspective
if you dont want to game on three monitors then dont go for three monitor setup, instead get DELL U2412M ~ 18K for main monitor and dell s2240l for a auxiliary display.

and keep budget for UPS ???
get APC 1100VA ~6K for monitors and APC smart UPS 1500 ~ 14K + batterypack(?? dont know pricing)

What is 'auxiliary display'?
I bought dell s2340l yesterday as snapdeal was giving a discount :p
I know that this one has pretty low refresh rate but IPS panel :p
I can maybe buy DELL U2412M sometime in the next couple of weeks.

graphics card - Xfx Xfx R9 280x Dd 3 Gb Ddr5 Graphics Card - Rs. 31000
MOBO - GA-Z87X-OC - Rs. 20000

I am ready to change this graphics card and mobo, but I want it to be compatible with hackintosh so I think I can buy only gigabyte, or other only if it is compatible with hackintosh,

Lets leave the budget at 50-60k for one mobo and a graphics card

For now lets think I am buying only one monitor, I'll add more in the future. OK?

People are asking here, if I am confused. Damn right I am confused, I have never spent so much money my entire life that too from my own pocket, I am scared of making a wrong decision that is why I am here to ask stupid questions and get brilliant answers.

Thanks everybody for all your help. I really appreciate it. I'll send you'll a box of cookies one fine day :p

Human Spambot
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: I would like to use this system to build Android applications, Games for Android, Websites and play some heavy games which will be released in the future which I can't already play on my i5 system with intel hd4000.

Applications I would like to use almost daily:
Eclipse, Android emulator, Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, GTA IV, Notepad:)P), Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, heavy action games.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:I have a budget of INR 1,80,000 but would like to get done around 100k if it wouldn't make a lot of difference.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:Yes, I want to by three monitors to get me lots of screen space. I would like to buy a 23 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 Pixels, but I don't want to get over Rs. 13,000 per monitor.

What I have found online: This is just what I think to have, I am ready to buy a totally separate system.

I am not spending 180k, I have a budget of 180k that means I can spend that, I don't have to.
I am now thinking of Gtx 770, 780 seems little over budget :p
What do you think?

You could have mentioned this in the very first post that would have made things more easy and not go back reconfigure again for the confusion you created. I hope you got my point.

I am not confused about my budget, I am a little confused about my configuration though.

Budget means "allow or provide a particular amount of money". Like I am allowed to dance like a monkey in a public place but I don't do it, why? because I don't have to, I just can.
Just like that 180k is budget, I can spend if it necessary for a very good computer, I don't have to spend it all on parts I won't use like a hardcore.

Again, no disrespect man.

The highlighted part of the first quote is your own post. And you yourself has designed a system that adds up to Rs 159K. You give people a budget of over a lakh for multi a display gaming system and then when people suggest, you start... in your own words and no disrespect that even though You are a Monkey but wont wanna dance like a Monkey in Public even though you can (or cannot)!Again no disrespect.

Your post is confusing and so is your understanding of the word budget for specifics being mentioned.

If there is 4-5k difference for the processor I can go with 4770 otherwise 4770k it is.
Flipkart tells Rs. 21190 for 4770 and Rs. 23275 for 4770k.

Someone else recommended me 'Corsair TX750v2' too but I couldn't find it locally.

BluRay player, I don't know just in case :p

I can go with 'SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD DUAL X R9 280X 3GB DDR5 OC '

I would like to buy gigabyte's mobo as they have better support for hackintosh, what do you suggest in the gigabyte series for 4770k ?

You could have mentioned this in the very first post that would have made things more easy and not go back reconfigure again for the confusion you created. I hope you got my point.

I am sorry, I didn't know the word budget had multiple meanings over here.
Quoting dictionary.com the total sum of money set aside or needed for a purpose.

Didn't my post already mention that I am confused? Am I confusing you as well?

I still do have a budget* of over a lakh but I don't want 'multi a display gaming system' anymore, as I didn't know I will require more powerful graphics card to do that, so I now have omitted it.

I am not here to fight, I am here to take some help and give some help if required.

btw, I don't like you man :)

You are right. It is handled by Famous Rashi Peripherals .

@op Get R9 290@ 36k. R9 290x not worth the price.

R9 280x or R9 290? You and harshilsharma decide it for me :p
and what about a hackintosh compatible motherboard, prefer

(i.e i m assuming u hav this budget for the rig) , Indeed it is my budget.
here is the thing whhen i bought my p4 system with 128 MB RAM people were saying in the shop you are buying too much its not needed......u can see the scenario now......
also the z87 can support a max of 32 GB RAM (or is it 64GB?) so here is my point if u have the budget now why not use it to get the max from ur system with higher RAM u can run a larger no. of programs, its not like nothing need more than 16GB RAM its the scenario now which can change with time as evident from history of PC..........

and ya dude budget is not something how much u hav for spending but it is something how much you are willing to spend at that particular time.........

if you say u hav budget of 1.8L people will suggest u the rig that exactly fits that budget.......... u can get a high end gaming rig even in 80k.......
so plz edit the first post according to how much would u like to spend preferably..........

and as far as GPU is concerned currently GTX 780Ti is Like KING OF THE HILL and every gamer dreams to have one.........
