I do not see there to be a problem as its running absolute well on my system. Moreover it got lifetime warranty.

If its the dot you talking abt in the gold strips, it not burnt but the location where i stay is industrial so electronics here get those dots. I had replaced ram in the past when i had DDR1 which had conked out, i had no issue with warranty though. More over if you clean it well with cleaning agent, it shall shine jus as new.
