CWM not working on my Tipo

CWM was working fine on my phone. But recently i tried to install fxp 220. But while flashing boot.img my phone got somewhat dead, in the sense, the phone would only vibrate when i press power button and nothing would happen. So i downloaded stock kernel and flashed. Now the phone is working fine. But cwm is not booting. So i re-installed it. Still not working. Please help. Thanks in advance!

Genius in making mistakes
U need to root ur phone first..after flashing stock rom, root gets gone (m assuming u flashed stock kernel + stock rom) ..so first root it n then install recovery.. Also u should have posted this in xda..it's dedicated development forum..

What is 4ext? Sorry never heard of it? any substitute to cwm?

but no one replies. thats why i post here. this forum has always helped me.

Also, the current status of my phone is, it's already rooted and bootloader is unlocked. only thing is cwm is not loading, that is when i press VOL - button continuously when sony logo appears, it just boots normally, instead cwm screen should have been loaded!

^ its a recovery like cwm, download 4ext recovery updater from play store, flash the latest 4ext (touch or normal).

Check ur root status first.. By installing root.checker app from market or just make it sure from flashtool.. If it's rooted then Delete folder ClockworkMod from root of ur sd card n reinstall cwm recovery..also let me know how u installing cwm.. Paste xda link..

Dude how can he flash if he's not able to boot into recovery? Also u sure about xperia devices?

With that app you can select the recovery you wanna use. It will automatically download and flash. Don't worry its an official app and ive used it.

4ext not supported in my device.

i use cwm v6.1 for my tipo(ss)
i double click install.batch file. Thats it.

For 4ext, it says your device is not detected. It suggests me to choose from a list which contains only HTC devices.
I had performed a nandroid backup. is there any way to restore.

I got my problem solved by flashing tipo dual recovery kernel. :)
I'm installing custom ROM for first time. Do i need CM10 kernel or anything more to install this ROM? Or is it enough if i follow the steps whats given in the thread? Mine is TIPO(SS) on Stock ROM 4.22.

The procedure is same as that of cm10 as it is based on cm10 only.but I guess u cant make calls n send sms as gsm not working if u read below to all posts..cm10 known issue..

CWM was not available because you flashed stock kernal.

In stock kernal there is no recovery, so flashing any tipo custom kernal will you give cwm to you.

And never flash kernal/ROM which is not for your phone..

Nope...CWM is not depending on which kernel u are on.. U just need root to install any recovery.. :)
