Well, his present config is Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 + Intel G41 Series Motherboard.

Will upgrading would be any better than this..??

C2D 7500 is a good processor for casual gaming. If the G41 motherboard is having DDR3 support then get only the PSU, GPU and Ram. With the extra money you can get HD 7750 or HD 6770. The processor can handle those cards properly without bottleneck.

Thanks :)

In that case I'd like to know suggestion for Motherboard, as the sound card in his motherboard is damaged.

So in that case let the processor be E7500 (As it is), GPU to HD6770, PSU to Corsair CX430 V2

I'd like to know the suggestion for a good Motherboard.

Get the Gigabyte G41 model, available at 2.5K. Also you can try Asus P5G41T-M-LX around 2.6K. However, just for sound you don't need a new motherboard. Spend around 600 bucks and get a 5.1 chanel sound card, something like this: PCI INTERNAL SOUND CARD 6 CHANNEL 5.1 5-PORTS 1YR WRNTY | eBay
