CPU Bottlenecking

Hi,

I have a MSI GTX 560 Ti (Twin Frozr II edition) card. My current CPU is a classic Core2Quad Q6600 overclocked at 3.0 Ghz. I understand my GPU is getting bottlenecked , but how bad is it? Will there be a major jump in GPU performance if I switch to say... a i5-3570k processor?

I'm not really looking to buy anything here. It was just a question of how bad the bottlenecking is , and what's the recommended processor to avoid that.

Most games are more gpu dependant than cpu. A quad core like yours is good enough.
You may feel worse with a higher gpu.
Try 3.2ghz. The bottleneck is not so bad as of now.

Like we said before there won't be a bottleneck. Not anytime soon

Something else may be the cause i suppose if there is a buttleneck

I play at 1920x1080 , I have a 23 inch monitor. But it looks like TheTechFreak still remembers one of my earlier threads , fine I'll stick to this CPU for now. Old is probably more gold than I expect , I guess.
