This is my very first post.
I would like it assemble a cpu for 10k and I need your help as this is my first time. Presently I have a pentium 4 cpu whose intel motherboard's chipset got smoked. I want assemble a new cpu.
As the budget is low, I don't mind if some of the parts of my existing CPu can be put to use in the new cpu like the cd drive and the cabinet if possible. please correct me if I'm wrong in thinking so.
let me answer the mandatory questions:
1. What is the purpose of the
computer? What all applications
and games are you going to run?
Ans: since I am a student I will be using microsoft office, watching hd videos, browse the internet and playing a lot of games. I will be playing all the games that will be compatible with the system(like assassins creed revelations, gta 4, call of duty black ops,crysis 2, god of war)
2. What is your overall budget? If
you can extend a bit for a more
balanced configuration, then
mention this too.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:no
4. Which Operating System are you
planning to use?
Ans: windows 7 ultimate
5. How much hard drive space is
needed?
Ans:320GB
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If
yes, please mention which screen
size and resolution do you want. If
you already have a monitor and
want to reuse it, again mention
the size and resolution of monitor
you have.
Ans: no I do not need a new monitor. the present one is a 16 inch monitor( LG Flatron W1642S).
7. Which components you DON'T
want to buy or which components
you already have and plan on
reusing?
Ans: I do not need monitor, mouse keyboard, speakers, ups. I would also like to use the cabinet and cd/dvd drive if possible.
8. When are you planning to buy
the system?
Ans: ASAP ( Awaiting your reply)
9. Have you ever built a desktop
before or will this be done by an
assembler?
Ans: No. It will be done by an assembler whose expenses need not be counted in the 10k.
10. Where do you live? Are you
buying locally? Are you open to
buying stuff from online shops if
you don't get locally?
Ans: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Yes I am open to buying online If it's not available locally. If possible please leave the links and the price.
11. Anything else which you would
like to say?
Ans: please incorporate a graphics card if possible.
