Counter strike source mouse problem

Lately i have encountered a problem with mouse movements in counter strike source
The mouse worked fine earlier but after a gap of 4-5 months its giving problems
the mouse works fine in windows and menu of the game, but while playing the mouse moves very slowly on the y axis, but works fine on the x axis, please help me on this issue.

i havent played CSS(CS1.6 vet here), but afaik, CS1.6 had an option in the menus to change x-y axis speeds.
if CSS is anything like that, check the menu where the mouse speed is changed.

Sadly no such option, will wit till my exams are over, and then im getting a new PC so I will install brand new copy of CSS.
And yeah off the topic do you play Team fortress 2?

Yeah reinstall might solve the problem. Maybe you accidently changed some settings. As for Team Fortess 2, check the thread in Gaming Section, a lot of our TDF members play the game regularly.
