Warhead ran at less than 10fps for me at enthusiast on my sig config....I tried reinstalling it adding more ram and basically tried everything but it still wasnt good....but then all i had to do was play like 5mins of the first level where i came to a broken bridge...i jumped across it there was a check point and all of a sudden i got 35-45fps for the rest of the game....So for all these warhead performance issues i suggest trying to play the game for a couple of minutes...maybe it will improve as it did for me....
The game is also known for crashing...it crashed on me like 10 times before i could finnish it

is it true that core 2 quad processor is not suitable for gaming?i've heard the core 2 duo is better suited for gaming performance.is there any difference? has anyone ever faced any problems running the latest games on a core 2 quad? i have an 8600gt 256mb gfx card, a core 2 quad q9300 2.5ghz & 3gb 800mhz ram...will i be able to play crysis warhead on it cause my friend says core 2 quad processor may cause problems.

I have the same config as yours except that mine is a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and I have 2 GB of DDR2 667 Mhz RAM.
All games I have tried till now run fine, even Crysis. So I think that Core 2 Quads can't cause any problems in gaming.

Thanx Mates...the issue is solved...i just completed warhead this afternoon..although it did crash a few bit of a times..when i would quicksave it...apart from that the game responded fine after playing a few levels...but then maybe i'm facing these problems because there's something else wrong with my computer...please look at it here & help me if you can - *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99026...this problem mostly occurs when there is an intense activity going..like playing a game..running multiple programmes or even browsing multiple web pages...anyway maybe we should stop discussing about core2quad & gaming issues as there doesn't seem to be any real problems here.
