converting .pdf to text file

I have .pdf file and i want to convert it into text format without disterbing the orignal format , the matter in the pdf file contains column and rows .
pls help .

a .txt file doesnt support Tables and all those rich-formatting.. a conversion to .rtf wud be better and .doc wud be the best

for text : File > Save as Text in Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0
