Computer Slow

I just upgrade my PC to 2.8 Dual Core and 865 Asus Motherboard. but my computer was really slow in boot process and other memory activity my HDD was build on 2001 it is Seagate, So there is any problem in HDD ??. My HDD was 40GB and 7200 rpm. I think there is a bad sector comes but when i scan wth Norton Disk Doctor they didn't find any errors. Please help me.

Have you re-install ur OS after upgradation.If not,than plz reinstall ur OS.

I reinstall my win 10 times but the problem is same. Games working fast with 256DDR Ram. I play Prince of Persia Warrior Within with fast mode. But i don't know why the folders and other softwares opening too slow. There is any solution ?

Get Tune Up Utilities 2007 and from from System Control try selecting the correct settings. you will notice a considerable difference in your computer's speed now.

Slow PC ?? How much RAM do you have ??

Even i feel my PC slow.. lol.. with a 1 GB of DDR-II ...

therefore, how much ram do you have ?? as if you compair the PC with a 2 GB ram performance, even if u have a 512 MB RAM but still you may feel slow... !!!

@boosters:Run msconfig and remove all the useless programs from startup tab.This will increase your pc performance a bit.

quite honestlly with a 820 procy and 865 based board one would be expected to have a 512 MB...

anyway if you cant upgrade the memory, set the page file to 768 MB and put it any where apart from the OS drive...

Disable all vidual things...

and search at this forum, there is a thread from Vishal called Make your XP super fast follow that thread...

and we should not expect a farrari like perfornance from a Maruti 800
