i am running windows xp sp3 .

make sure your c:\ drive has enough space for the hiberfil.sys .
This problem occurs because the Windows kernel power manager cannot obtain the memory resources that are required to prepare the computer to hibernate.

Are you getting following error

"Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API."

If yes Go through '*support.microsoft.com/kb/909095'

Let me explain in better way

I have a HP printer and its driver is installed in my computer.

Whenever i hibernate the driver checks the status of the printer, if printer is in on position the driver doesn't allow computer to hibernate.

Do you understand now?
