Comparing gf3 and intel 900 GMA

supposing i got gf3 with 64MB mem, and GMA900 with 128 MB. SO which will give me better performance in high end graphics(domm3/hl2)?

hmm, feature wise GMA 900 is better, as it supports DirectX 9b, while GeForce 3 supports DirectX 8, however GeForce 3 has hardware vertex shader & hardware T&L something which lacks in GMA 900

however if U R using a CPU like Pentium 4 3 GHz, then it will provide performance equavalent to Geforce 3 in all games in directx 9 mode

Buddy , I'll put my money on GMA 900 . But as he said it lacks pixel shader 2 which is required in some games. But also GMA 900 is much newer and it supports dx9 . I think this choice requires us to know what the CPU RAM and mobo are ??

i am thinking of buying an intel 915. Should i go for 915 GL or G or GV???

Definitely not GL ( doesnt have some features , my mobo 915GL doesnt have raid . i dunno whether it is company or chipset feature itself ).Check the intel site . Also decide ur mobo. I should see teh diff b/w G & GV.

I think u better think of AMD and u may go for 945 as they have i gma950. which has pixel shader 2 and etc..

Dude , for playing games , forget both gma900 and geforce 3 . Think about geforce 6600GT atleast .

For games , definitely AMD is better !!
