Cities in Motion 2011 - Review

Excessive happiness
If you played the Sim Cities 3000 and the successor, then at first it might feel like the replica of the game, but it is not. It's all about controlling Transportation for a Metro. This game is developed and published by Paradox interactive, a Sweden based firm.

The system requirements look pretty decent.

* Processor : 2 GHz Dual Core or Higher
* RAM : 2 GB
* GPU : 8800/HD3850 with OpenGL 3.0
* Operating System : Windows XP,Vista or Windows 7

Test Rig :

* C2D E7400 @ 3GHz
* 4GB DDR2 RAM
* HD4670 1GB
* Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Gameplay

This genre is pretty new for me. I expected the same experience as Sim City, but this is completely different. It's all about managing the transportation for a metropolitan. At first it seems different and will even attract you to play this due to the attractive graphics. But to be frank, it's not worth the time. You might feel WOW at first and you start building bus, tram lines and get excited by Heli-lines too. But as time goes on, you feel bored. Once you completely cover the whole town with proper lines, all you have to do is wait for them to earn you money to move to the next level. This will be pretty bad in sandbox mode.

The available game modes are campaign, sandbox and scenarios. Campaign is exactly same as Career mode with limited options at first and as you fulfill the mission, it will take you to the next level. This is the best mode to play. Rest are nothing but fancy names.
