cant install linux!

hello everyone..
i tried installing fedora core 4 on my system but to no avail....it says disabling irq#10 and then just hangs.....i checked if there was anything on irq#10 ..nothing there....i updated my bios...still the same problem......anybody know what i could do from here..(??)...thx in advance..

P.S:- i tried installing mandriva too......but the same thing happened...

go and disable all free IRQ's from BIOS. also pls explain ur problem in detail & step by step(what u did at each step)

Also post in right section and tell us what hardware do you have. That may help out.
