I'm using WinXP and I've recently converted my drives from FAT32 to NTFS. I used PC Inspector File Recovery 3.0 for recovering my deleted/lost files which are mostly jpg, avi/dat and pagemaker files. While some jpg files have been recovered successfully, other coulnd't be opened in IrfanView on recovery. A pop-up message saying, "....Can't read file header! Unknown file format!" always appeared. Also, some folders but not their contents were only recovered. Why? Also, I couldn't not open some folders/files. "....is not accessable. Access is denied" appeared. Why?

Those files are not fully recovered. Those files are corruputed and cant do much about it.

is not accessable. Access is denied
Are those folders are recovered folders or newly created folders?
Microsoft said:
This issue may occur if the folder that you cannot open was created on an NTFS file system volume by using a previous installation of Windows, and then installing Windows XP.
If they r normal 'new' folders then u have to turn off Simple file sharing.Steps given here:-
