Can I use a local PSU with my config without the GPU?

Can't you not wait for 3-4days for your PSU to get replaced because without UPS your PC is a Sitting Duck in India. I suggest you wait not buy any crappy PSU. OK.

they delayed it for the 3rd time and i have already waited for 8 days and now they are asking 3 more days so i am not sure when i will get the replaced PSU

also bought a local intex 450 watts PSU (zebronics was not available) and using it without the GPU and its working fine.....

You can take that risk, but I may have a better solution.

Buy a better PSU, and when your RMA'ed PSU return, sell it in bazaar. or as before find some friends who might have a spare PSU (preferably in Hyderabad)

Now that you have taken the risk, lets not push your luck a lot. dont use it extensively untill you get your PSU back. Better to be safe than sorry.

yes i understand...using my PC only when its necessary....it seems i will get my PSU sometime next week..


can someone tell me how long does Corsair usually take to replace something under warranty? i gave my burnt PSU for replacement last Monday...
