can an image mounted by any software be booted ?

does any image mounting software..also support booting ??

like DAEMON TOOLS , POWER ISO ..ALCOHOL 120 %..

IF yes how is it done??
has any one done this before ?

its not possible.. Softs can work only after the os is loaded.. Whereas booting is done after bios is loaded nd b4 the os.. U can try virtual pc or vmware

and how does it all work..out can some one tell in detail..like i want to test the windows vista beta 2 5456..'s ISO image ..tht my bro gave me before i burn the dvd..so how do i go along...with clean install..without burning..it and booting..directly..(the iso image)..plzz tell the whole procedure..
can i remove virtual pc after installing vista ??

no @ go... if u remove vpc then u wont be able the virtual hdd so no vista....
and u can copy the dvd contents to ny hdd then install directly 4m xp... witout ny dvd...

is it possible to copy all the vista installation files..to the hdd...and start windows in command prompt ..and then run setup from there...??i think this will work as a clean install..but during boot there is no option to start windows in commapnd prompt..only...after pressing F8...

You can try using 'Alcohol 120%' software, create a virtual drive & mount the ISO
from that virtual drive. This will start the installation process automatically.
No need to burn the ISO to DVD or CD!!
