Toshiba Tecra S2 has Go5200? it has Go6600 to the best I remember. pradeep_chauhan from the forum has the same, contact him if you want more info with that laptop. Besides it doesnt cost 80k, he has got the same for 80k along with additional 512MB RAM or so, expect it to be around 75k.

I would say go for the Acer, best among them all in terms of features and graphics and the most VFM too, go in for an additional 512MB Stick at the time of purchase since your budget is around 80k , you can well manage to spend another 5k on RAM.

Moving it to Mobile Monsterz.

Did you check out Dell? The Inspiron 9300 will fit in your budget and is a very good laptop. Do check it out before you make a final decision!

Good news for ya, I have just now recd the latest Dell Quotations for October thru Courier. Dunno how dad gets it on his name every month. Probably due to some bank accounts. What Nemesis suggested can very well be in your budget now, Dell Inspiron 9300 based on Pentium M 740, 915PM chipset, 256Mb DDR II @ 533Mhz, 60Gb 5400rpm hdd, 8x DL DVD +/- RW, 17" WXGA TFT, 64Mb X300 graphics.

Price: 76k
at the bottom, theres some typical Dell, FREE upgrade to 512MB DDR2.
1600-425-4021 is the number to call :D

I dont exactly know the DELL procedures, but If you are serious and need the E-value code PM me.

Have you given a thought for the Apple iBook/Powerbook?

My dad has bought one recently and it performance is simply brilliant. Excellent battery life of more than 5 hours under normal stress conditions.
