Buy a phone...need help

I am planning to buy a phone...
I like iphone 4 the most.
But I have few others also in my mind like HTC Desire HD and some upcoming phones like HTC Incredible S,Sony Ericsson neo and arc...
And I think iphone 5 is expected to come in June 1st week,I can wait for that also.
Plz help me n suggest me which phone should I buy or should I wait for iphone 5?

iPhone 5 will not be available until some, umm, some ........ years in India. So it does not make sense for you to wait for it unless you plan to get it from the US.

Also purchasing a phone will depend on your budget which you've not mentioned.

There are a few people I listen to and follow closely when it comes to technology. One of them is Joshua Toposky, editor of Engadget, and the other is Chris Zeigler, Mobile editor of Engadget. Both these people bought the Atrix 4G, and they absolutely hate it because of its Motoblur skin. I completely trust them. If they say its bad... it is bad.

If I had plenty of money, there is only one phone that I would buy right now... and that is the Nexus S.

Well you didn't mention any budget, so I guess it ain't a factor. You should wait for SGS II to come here. Yes there is also Optimus 2X and Atrix coming, but I'd take SGS II over them. In fact I am waiting eagerly for it. iPhone 5? Hmm, let's see what this time Mr.Jobs come out with...

SE Neo? SE Arc? Well with their Price I will not recommend them, I am a huge SE fan, still saying this, Why will you go for a Single Core CPU when at the same price you'll have a Dual Core. SE should better think about the Pricing of those phones immediately.

Keep in mind one thing, if you go for SGS II and see the S-AMOLED + stuff, you ain't gonna go back to LCD/S-LCD or whatever, (only Nokia's CB Display could compete them, even beat them sometimes), so that might be a long term connection with Samsung.

@AndroiFan, yes i read the report too. Motoblur mixing fb contacts & personal contacts together. also quite a few s/w problems. but Motorola should & will release some kind of patch as its their flagship. Samsung Galaxy S2 looks promising but not at the current booking price of 1000$.

Wasn't you reading the last posts? Tell him to wait for the SGS II/Moto Atrix/LG Optimus 2X, then pick one. All will be around Rs.25-28K, in India no one will buy a phone if Priced more than that. So just wait...

It is very difficult to get Dual Core at that price point at this time. Wait 6 months.

There are rumors Samsung Galaxy S 4G might be available for 24k soon. Wait a month if you can.

I doubt the availibity of Nexus S & Atrix in India, even though both of them are listed at Infibeam.com. It has been a long time since the Nexus S is on a "coming soon" status there.

The Galaxy S II has been listed on Flipkart, so we might see it in India soon. (Especially, given Samsung's love for India.)

yaar I don't want to go for a samsung phone...I really don't like samsung mobile phones...
So either HTC or apple...
I don't have a budget problem n i can also wait for sometime...
n I can also get it from foreign...

Not a good time for buying either Apple or HTC.
Wait for sometime for the HTC Incredible, Desire S & Wildfire S to come to the market.

Also we're expecting a new iPhone soon.

Wait a loooong time(my guess - 6 months) for iPhone 5 to release in US as unlocked, and get it to india.
Wait for SGS2 to release in india and get it. Dont want Samsung? probably u dont like LG too. Optimus 2X, black and 3D are out of scope.
Indian version Atrix wont have motoblur... so, chill.. u have to wait a loooong time for that too
getting atrix 4g from US now? have to live with motoblur, and its problems. I personally dont think its too bad for the cons that i read... but.. ur choice.
U can alternatively chk out WP7 phones like HD7 and Omnia 7. I used HD7 and Mozart. The UI's smooth, very fresh... unlike anything else in market rite now. Looks and feels very different. Though lacks a lot of smartphone features and GPU power... as a feature phone with huge screens and unique UI(different from others... all WP7 phones have same UI), they are pretty good
