built-in Bluetooth not working

My brother has a laptop model no HP G62-361TX. It's inbuilt bluetooth is not working. For using bluetooth I have to installed the software provided by HP website. But the problem is that the software from the website does not enable it either it just make a interface from which I have to add new device, I want to know that is there a way out for me to use the inbuilt bluetooth without this software??

dear.. in HP lappy. you generally have a manual switch which turn ON/OFF Wifi and bluetooth together.. only after that u can use it at software level.

Search for it !
