Build A New Gaming PC for friend - Budget 40k

@op; as you mentioned that you require only basic overclocking, there's on sense in getting such expensive motherboards. Just get asus m5a97 r2.0 for 7k.

Garv1386, if you have decided for GTX 660 then get this model: GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA Series Graphics Card
This model is the cheapest GTX 660 I found but don't think it offers inferior quality, It comes with Gigabyte's own Dual Fan custom cooler, already factory overclocked and has hard room for more overclocking and also superb overall design and build quality. At a price of 13.15K, it is really a great buy.

Actually I am not sure about how Junglee.com is as an Online shop. For a price of 12.5K, the deal looks good though.

BTW, I have just checked Junglee website and the Zotac card @ 12.6K you're talking about is actually improted from USA and you will not get any warranty here. I was shocked to see that GTX 770 was available at 26K. Checked a little deep and found out those will be imported from USA.

Thanks for info Cilus was going to buy it

Just checked with SMC they also imported GIGABYTE one so what about their warranty

I am not sure if you will get warranty for the products which are imported from US. In mormal cases, Gigabyte does not provide international warranty but if the seller can provide it and trust worthy enough, like SMC, then it is okay. But I am not sure about the sellers in Tradus.in.

Also performance in gaming is not dependent upon a single component., CPU is one thing to consider but GPU should be the main point of concentration. And here with AMD configuration, OP can get a better balanced configuration.

The mobo and procesor you guys are suggesting is costing total about 14.5k. If he manages to extend his budget by 2k he can get i5 3470/3550 with Gigabyte B75M-D3H which would cost about 16k and is better. I know that Intel has changed his socket and all but I don't think AMD will make processors on same socket(AM3+) after Steamrollers. So whenever he'll upgrade(In next 3-4 years) He'll have to again change the mobo so futureproof is BS. And Intel i5 is based on latest 22nm technology unlike AMD's 32nm(I know it doesn't matter much).

Just my opinion.

Buddy, going with Ivy Bridge which has reached its EOL is not a good option. Granted the Haswell has minimal performance advantage over Ivy Bridge but the point is the availability of Ivy Bridge motherboards in future. Consider a case where after 2 year, OP has a faulty motherboard and there is high chance that he will not be able to find any LGA1155 motherboards after 2 years from now, triggering a whole system upgrade.
Regarding AMD, they have confirmed that Steam Roller CPU will be using the same AM3+ socket. So he is pretty much safe with AMD if future upgrade is the case. And why should Op for an inferior processor by paying extra money? In all multi-threaded applications, FX-8350 is ahead of 3470. Also recent games like Crysis 3, Tomb Raider which can use multi-core processors efficiently, FX-8350 surpass i5 3470.

I am not sure about Cost to Cost. A lot of people had pruchased from them but I have heard some bad reviews too.

For Motherboard, both pro and EVO are good. But spend 1K and get the 990FX chipset based motherboard like M5A99FX EVO 2.0. You can also have a look at Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, currently available at 11.78K in Flipkart
