3-Seagate SATA 250gb Hard Disk Drive-Rs 1690/-
4-Sony OEM SATA DVD Writer-925/-
5-iBall Cabinet i2241 with Power Supply and 80mm Rear Fan-Rs 1450/-
6-Benq 17" Square TFT LCD Monitor Model G702D Rs 5400/-
7-Microtek Heritage 625va UPS Rs 1540/-
8-Samsung Pleomax Keyboard Rs 220/-
9-Microsoft Optical Mouse USB-Rs 300/-
10-Creative SBS Speaker A35 Rs 370/-
11-Front Chassis 80mm Fan Rs 90/-

Gross Total Cost Rs 24,574/- without windows for me Rs 19,954/-

If Monitor Cost is cut to a cheapest 15.60" Wide LED of AD-Com [3 year Carry In Warranty] then Deduct Rs 2100/- from the above which becomes =Rs 22,474/-.Deduct One Ram Module and cost comes to Rs 21,236/-.This is the best without compromise on quality.

i5 2500k is 11k and meant for overclocking. If your friend is not interested in OCing, then its wasted.

Thanks for explaining.
No he wont overclock... Then should be get i5 2500?
Even if he gets i5 2500 and i guess 4gb DDR3 ram will be around 1200, then cant he get a decent stable mobo and psu for thn rest of the money (approx 8.5-i guess ! ) ?
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.

Taking from cilus's suggestion this will be fine for you

Intel Core i5 2400 @ 9.3K (in Kolkata it is available @ 8.7K)
Corsair 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Value @ 1.2K
Intel DH67BL-B3 @ 5.2K (Kolkata price is 4.8K)
NZXT Gamma Cabinet @ 2.1K
Corsair GS600 80+ PSU @ 4K

Do not compromise on these 5 products . rest is your choice.

Not suggesting ASUS because of Rashi peripherals. They will make you cry more than your childhood.

Thanks for the suggestion...Nice picks.

Intel Core i5 2400 @ 9.3K (in Kolkata it is available @ 8.7K)
Intel DH67BL-B3 @ 5.2K (Kolkata price is 4.8K)
----------------------------------------------------------
Corsair 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Value @ 1.2K - Fixed
Corsair GS600 80+ PSU @ 4K Fixed
NZXT Gamma Cabinet @ 2.1K - As he dont want cabinet.

Few queries:

1> Is there noticable performance change in i5 2500K and i5 2400?

2> Is this motherboard good enough to run 2-3 years without any hastle?

3> If he choose Intel DH67BL-B3 + i5 2500K - will it be a bad or wrong choice as he is not taking the cabby he said he can invest it in mobo or proccy.

4> Also will this processor be fast enough than AMD 965 BE ?

Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.

iGoogle
1> not much (3-4 fps in most games). Also no noticible difference in normal applications and day to day work. If one overclocks the 2500k to a great extent then maybe slight differnce will be noticible. Mainly difference will be noticible in benchmarks. For your needs 2400 will be very good and sufficient
2>Yes the motherboard is good. Maintain good airflow and keep cabinet temperature in check to increase longevity. My intel 945G mobo survived for 4 years without problems until I sold it.
3>No use getting the 2500k+H67 mobo becoz, overclocking of K processors can only be done on P67 and Z68 platform based mobo. If he wants he can get 2500K with a P67 mobo like ASUS P8P67-M @ 7.9k. Only then he will be able to utilize the overclocking potential of the 2500K. Also he will have to buy a 3rd party cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ atleast if he is overclocking
4>Yes all the SB i5/i7 procys are miles ahead of any of the phenom II

Thanks for clearing the doubts.
Intel Core i5 2400 @ 9.3K (in Kolkata it is available @ 8.7K) - Fixed
Intel DH67BL-B3 @ 5.2K (Kolkata price is 4.8K) - Fixed
Corsair 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Value @ 1.2K - Fixed
Corsair GS600 80+ PSU @ 4K Fixed

I am finalysed the components. Last but not the least. Please suggest 2 alternate mobo's also in case i dont find this board (Intel DH67BL-B3).

Not asking for AMD config as x6 also falls behind i5 I guess. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thnks in advance.

1) "K" is for overclocking and for non overclockers non-k proccy. since u r not doing any OC so do not take 2500k. Rather the comparison shld be between i52400 vs i5 2500.
find review HERE
2) Read reviews. Intel DH67BL is a decent motherboard and it offers most of the features which are needed in day to day life. It features USB 3.0 and SATA III 6 Gbps support.
3) For k series p67 or z68 chipset is best. For non-k h61 or h67 is best. So your combination does not exist.also P67 boards do not have any display output of their own. so a GPU is a must.
4)More than u can think of. there is a huge margin betwn them.

H67 mobo is available at VEDANT. just call them to know the price. 22129832

M.D. Computers and Vedant. But price may be increased a little due to the current market situation.

BMG ftw!!
^^ The increase in price. That's what I was thinking.... 8.7K looks a bit cheaper than the current scenario.

^^ Actually most of the big shops do have old stocks for their higher selling products. So there is a chance of getting old stock of i5 2400.

BMG ftw!!
^ But why would anyone sacrifice there bonus profit when they will get that just by maintaining present rates? (think about old stock of seagate HDDs, which must be there at every big shops)
