Bsnl Broadband Speed Change

Hi,
I recently upgraded from the UL 750 (256kbps) connection to the UL 1350 (512kbps) connection.
I am noticing the increase speed in all my browsing and chat applications.

However, my upload speeds in CuteFtp professional 8.1 are still the same at 31kbps.
The main reason for me to upgrade my plan was to be able to upload faster using CuteFtp.

I also noticed that my utorrent speds almost the same too, they rise for few moments to about 55kbps, then they are back to 30kbps after a while.
I am using the latest utorrent client version 1.8 and my os is Vista Ultimate.


Can someone help me resolve these speed issues?

i am also facing same problem but some of my friends having 750 ul plan can download torrents at 256kb ps just like 500 plan. they says its bcoz of bsnl modem, (tr previous plan was 500 )and they all use windows xp they have tried some winsock xp software to open ports.
u also try portforwarding.....
