Broadband Connecting error...

Guys i changed some settings in order to connect to internet in linux...
after that when i tried to connect in windows, it says.. Connecting WAN Miniport and then redials...
Then i resetted the modem from backside but same problem persistes...
I want to knw if there some settings to be done in order to get a reseted modem working...
I wud b very thankful to you, if u can help...
I m dying plz help...

check linking light...
check driver/hardware...
proper address (config.) IP/dns/gateway/subnet mask
restart pc with modem...
if not, delete old setup & install new modem setup in pc...

if not, goto *broadbandforum.in/ & find solution...

problem solved...
had to select Bridge mode instead of PPPoe or watever it is...
I m very HAPPY
