Experienced any thing with their service centre?

yeah my friend has ,he had an issue with his mi3(speaker wasnt working properly) and took it to one service centre which said the xiaomi site was not up to date or something and that they only serviced HTC and Samsung phones
he took it to another where they said they didnt have the parts needed for repair and that he would have to pay for service

- - - Updated - - -

My opinion : stick to Moto G

mine too
i dont trust these sidey brands, rather buy an "inferior" reputed product

yeah basically most reputed brands like apple and samsung also do such things (in my experience with both) but atleast you can pay a small sum and get a reputed brand product repaired locally with imported parts which are readily available
a good example is nokia(symbian days) when you could get a fully trashed symbian nokia repaired within 15 mins locally if you wanted to
same way my friend managed to get his ipads screen replaced locally for 3.5k locally with original screen and digitizer etc
another friend of mine is unable to get his karbonn phones headphone jack repaired because parts arent available locally and the service centre is a joke and asked him 5k for a new mobo

I have owned mainly Samsung and apple devices. But with Apple literally I got no problem ever and with Samsung I had once and that too was with my cousin Note 3 since I had a good connection with Samsung service center I got the device exchange in just 2 days of device submission. So never had any experience with device problem and as long as you keep the device in good bumper and safely you won't find yourself near the service center. Unless of course the person is unlucky.

@ kkn What do you do with updates if your phone is running proper? Namesake? Stop kidding or trolling. Bad service? Aah welcome to the strange, every brand you name it they have it...ISSUES! Cheap Chinese brand huh? Do you know the Qualcomm is an investor in Xiaomi? Hugo Barra is an employee so its not exactly the looser you are making it out to be. Are you feeling sorry for buying something else for the same price....? My condolences are with you.Amen.

This Mi3 is fabulous , and this comes from an user who started his android journey with an Xperia Arc and counting.......

i dont buy cheap phones ,my cheapest phone is 20k+ i happen to have alot of phones ,tablets etc since im a developer
i dont need such devices,i have a nexus 5 why the heck would i feel sorry for buying it instead of some chinese gimmick xiaomi
just because qualcomm is an investor doesnt mean qualcomms policies or whatever willl get your phone repaired or guarantee you quality or something
this comes from someone who has owned nearly every flagship and mid range phone ever made
enjoy your life with cheap chinese products with no local parts(which other brands have , so they can be repaired locally)
your kidding and trolling not me,your just delusional because you got a snapdragon 800 for cheap and think its better than 50k phones
im betting xiaomi buyers will be back to the forums just to rant about issues with it

@kkn you say you are a developer you should have known now a days getting a flagship phone from any big brands like sony,Samsung etc is simply waste of money nothing more.lets say you get a 50k phone after around 6 months there will be another flagship so what is the point then.Even most of the time your phone gets stolen and 50k goes to drain or you may accidentally broke your screen these brands will ask you 15k just for repair tell me will you go for it no na.

Cheap is not always crap take the example of Moto g it is cheap but Sony M2 with same chipset cost 20k tell me if A buys Moto G while B buys Sony M2 who is wiser then.

- - - Updated - - -

Most of the people are having positive feedback about Mi3 so no doubt it is good.

agreed
i never said cheap is bad,i personally like motos offerings such as the moto e and moto g

you said- "A buys Moto G while B buys Sony M2 ,who is wiser then"
thats not my point, both sony and motos offerings-the M2 and the G are well built, premium quality and have good ASS
my point is- dont compare a Nexus 5 to a xiaomi mi3 just because they have a snapdragon 800 and xiaomi is cheaper
its obvious LG has better service and quality than the Mi3

while most of your points are true, the mi3 does also have negative reviews, one of my friends already has issues with his mi3 and is having trouble getting it repaired,in fact he is planning on selling it for lesser and getting a moto g tomorrow
people have also reported issues with reception, software issues etc
im not saying its not possible with a sony or a moto but the sony or moto will always have better support officially and unofficially

It still doesn't make sense Motorolla was bought by lenovo which is typical Chinese brand,China have lota cash to burn they invest everywhere in the world even in US Bonds, they can invest anywhere they want. For eg Huawei an reputed Chinese brand was accused of hacking into BSNL network.
All the Chinese brands are threat to national security all kind of things.

All they want is a hold in Indian market and they will do anything for it.

xiaomi is a new company who are establishing their bases in India, there ASS will improve over time
No company can start with penetration like nokia had

dont know what this guys problem is against chinese products..yes there are obvious trash items but not all are ,Chinese can produce quality stuff too..besides these days everything is Made In china!!!
going around bashing xiaomi with retarded arguments

bad build qualtiy?? made by foxconn
Bad reception?? everything has been nice so far no drop calls ,GPs locks instantenous inside room, wifi reception is rocking good
Xiaomi slow in software updates? you really need to find out a bit more about MIUI, i think there update schedule is on par with the rest of the big companies
Software bugs for mi3.. none so far

lenovo typical chinese brand? i dont know much about their phones , but they took over the PC/Laptop business from IBM and their laptops have been fine and is one of the prominent brand in US

Huawei hacking into BSNL? dude almost all the MObile network carriers use devices supplied chinese company HUawei,Zte , it was probably some rumour someone cooked up after americans alleged of the same!!
It could also be true but then again the govt should have worried about that when they allowed them to get the tenders

Btw only dev roms have weekly updates and there are incremental updates so you dont want to download 600mb all the time
Stable roms are updated every fortnight or monthly i think

FYi im not a fanboy of any of these things..i just wanted to set certain things straight thats all!

yes, both of you should give it a rest. We don't need the same bunch of guys arguing/taunting in every thread over the same thing.

I'll be clear to you, his posts haven't been reported by neutral members. You can figure out why. Over the top you can go, but no need of going way over the top.

This applies to all, "Don't bait. Don't react."

I too bought moto g about 3 weeks ago, then price drops, xiaomi etc.. happened

But one thing is sure as far as doubt of op is considered,

Buddy at most you shall spend one hour a day in gaming & rest of day in general "phone" use so according to me the higher hardware is not something really required.

Plus I like the stock android more(just personal opinion)

Well also people fighting over ASS, give sometime & let brand soak into market things will become lot more clear
