Right off the assembly line
hello, i am new to digit. ma friend suggested me this forum . hope u help me out ,vice versa. i have a pentium dual core processor, intel 945 mobo, 160 sata hddsk.i have been using windows xp for quite a long time. but few weeks back , i started getting problem. windows files getting corrupt. so i decided to install windows 7. i formatted it, but during installation in d expanding files stage, it got stuck at 17 %. it gave me dis error 0x80070570. i tried installing but in vain. d very next day, while i was starting ma pc, it got stuck on d first page, which shows d config of d pc. it didnt move further. it showed press d delete button to go into setup. i pressed , but in vain.d dvd rom didnt show.but when i removed d hardisk ,it started booting.even ubuntu worked with live cd mode. help what to do.

Check all the cable and connectors and clean dust inside of the cabby.

Make sure your HDD has no bad sectors - scan with a good tool - download it from your HDD manufacturers website.

Try with a different ODD.

Check the PSU - I think it's not sending enough juice to all devices and that's why when your HDD was connected it was not showing the ODD and when disconnected HDD your ODD was worked fine.
