Hello Everyone!!! :D

I have a PIII, 866MHz, 128MB Ram with Kobian 810e FST Motherboard.

I have one hard disk with Win2003 Server Installed on this.

I want to put another harddisk with Linux and existing one with win2003 server and winxp.

Is it possible to get boot menu at the time of booting that "from which hard disk i want to boot"
I mean is it possible to boot from the harddisk i want.

If this is possible than pls tell me.

thanx. :)

if u have linux, grub can do that job nicely. instead of "boot from disk" choice, it will present you with a "boot to OS menu" instead.

the hard disk in which other oses ( not for win 98 ) are loaded wont boot properly if they were installed from a different computer... I faced the same prob. win 98 loads fine but not win linux and XP...

I installed win 98 and suse in my older PC and took out the harddrive and put it into my new pc and took the harddisk of my new pc out .. and tried to boot from it... It only showed a black screen with GRUB written on it and nothin else happened...

it depends on which boot menu , u are talking about... the boot menu of the OS or the normal IDE selector boot menu.. if about the OS boot menu then , yes u can do it but if u are talking about IDE selector boot menu then u can boot from each hdd(inacse if both hdd have OS loaded seprately) but that will be for only 2 os.
and the last line is that - this problem can be better solved practically(physically infront) and not by texts.
