Boot up error.

Guys,

I have installed fedora 9. its been more then two days since i have installed it. but now i am getting some error messages at boot up. The error messages are as followes

These error message comes up after entering " i " at the start up.

error messages

" No devices found"
" Setting up Logical Volume Management: No volume groups found"

and then system shuts down on its own.

what could be the reason ? and how can i solve this situation ?

check if you could get into root by addint init=/bin/bash at the boot line in grub.

Press e to edit an entry in grub then when you are done press enter and then b to boot.

^^ which file do you want me to update? i can login as a root user by using the fedora rescue disk. if possible then try to explain step by step.

edit the grub boot line (when the grub menu is shown u can edit or add another entry)

add the string init=/bin/bash at the end of kernel line

see that its explained at the end that press "e" to edit an entry.

But IMO it will be of no use, better ask at Fedora Forums. May be some bug it is.
