Guys BEWARE of this retailer. They really cheat in disguise. And I have proof of that. I had heard before that they cheat with prices during billing if u r not careful, now I faced it.
On last Sunday i.e 27-11-11 we had gone in BigBazar Raghunathpur store(on VIP road)Kolkata. Among many things we purchased 2 packets of Horlicks Cashew biscuits. After returning home I was randomly checking and matching the prices of some of the items. And I found a mismatch! On the packets of those Horlicks biscuits the MRP was Rs.25. The bill showed 2 quantities and total price as Rs.70! A cool Rs.20 rip-off for unsuspecting customers!
Before posting the matter in public/social forums and tarnishing the reputation of the company I thought of contacting them and see if and how they mend their ways. A mail was sent on 28-11-11. I was registered the case no. - 71568 on 28-11-11.
Got a call from the store on 29-11-11. The caller asked for forgiveness in not so repentant manner! I listened and asked the caller to mail me asking for forgiveness. The caller noted my mail-id.
But the mail never came.
On the evening of 30-11-11 I again mailed them a reminder about the case.
Today i.e 2-12-11 I received a call from 02239516600 at 12.56pm.
The caller told me blatantly that they cannot mail me!!!
I ask here why?
Why cant BigBazar acknowledge their fault in writing if it was done mistakenly?
I asked them to give Rs.20 back and they told me that when I visit their store again with the bill they will reverse it.
What if I dont ever visit them again after this type of attitude?
Why shall I take the trouble of preserving the bill for their calousness?
Why shall I have to remember and take the bill with me if/when visiting them the next time?
What if they deny me the return next time?
I have the Payback card. Why cant they just credit the equivalent points of Rs.20 in that account?
Am I asking for too much?
What if they cheat every customer randomly of say Rs10 to Rs.20 per billing?
They have thousands of customers everyday.
Have I asked for too much?
Please comment and/like facebook post to escalate the matter if you think its genuine cause for concern.
Thank you.
