Last week one of my frnd here in TDF brought 5800XM for his bro. I tested it and felt like it was a total waste for 18.5k(if it was around 14-15k, I would hav said ok). The fone is damn slow, and the cam was below par...even my 9k SE k790i does far better than 5800XM in cam quality and music play back. Tested even with EP630 earphones, but it lacked bass and treble, mid was ok.

But I really liked its video playback quality and the loudspeaker. Its gud for movies, u will get a tabletop stand too for watching video. The user interface too was a pleasure to work with its touch screen. After iPhone, this has the best touch screen I think(except no multi-touch).

The fone comes with 8GB mem. and hav GPS and WLAN. Guys like me who hav free access to WiFi at clge can use it for downloading movies and other stuffs :p (8GB downloading per day is more than enuf ;) )

My verdict is dat, its gud for people who need just some looks(its a sexy :D ) and for running simple office apps. Instead of wasting money, put some extra bucks and buy HTC touch Diamond for 21.5k.

there is megabass like profile in the equalizer presets, but if r a SE phone user, you will never get satisfaction by the bass produced by 5800XM. and one thing i noticed is dat EP630 produces over treble in most of the cases, but when connected to 5800XM, the treble was weak too!!

for most of the nokia fones as the size of the mem card used increases the phone speed becomes lower. same with 5800XM, its 8GB mem card and its slow processor makes it slower than n73 in most operations.

hey everybody says that 5800 loudspeaker is good enough...does it somewhat compensates the weak bass...

ya its loudspeaker is good...but loudspeakers doesn't produce bass, it can only produce high or low mid. and true audiophiles cares abt gud headphone sound reproduction than loudspeaker.
