Best Configuration For Compositing

hi guys,

i'm planning to buy a machine ,basically for doing compositing work.
i'm looking for the hardware (cpu/mobo/grfx card/hdd/ram) that will last for "atleast" 2-3 years.

****budget is 1 - 1.5 lacs

i need ur help guys,
pls suggest the best configs for me.

Get the fastest multi core CPU & 3 GB RAM with it. What application will u use ?
U will need 64bit windows if u want to use more then 4 GB RAM.

for graphics card, just get any OpenGL 2.0 complient gfx card, even a Geforce 7300GT is good enough with 256 MB Video RAM.

SLI is useless for compositing.

don't go for Win64 you will face lat of bugs while working 32 bit ver of Win will be fine..
Yes is true don't go for SLI..
If you have time wait for DX10 cards to arrive..
i wud suggest go for a vendor instead assembling for a well tunned system as ur budget will permit..
