Availability of LG vortex in India???

Hi guys, I'm plannin on buyin a new phone after my nokia 5800 broke down. Anyway, I'm considering about buying an LG Vortex that runs on Android 2.2 (froyo), has Wi-fi, etc etc. and well, I found out about it in www.consumermate.com and it showed a price tag of Rs. 5,000. And, I immediately contacted my local phone wallah , After a few days he said it wasn't available. Now, I'm confused. Is this phone really available in India? or Is Consumermate.com showing me wrong info??

yes consumermate.com is showing the wrong info.
Still not available locally.
You can check LG, reliance or tata indicom website for further info.

The vortex is a CDMA phone. Therefore the chances of being available in India is pretty low. The info is wrong as suggested. Also the Rs. 5000 price may be valid in the US as the phone is sold on contract with Verizon there. If it ever cones to India, its price would be about the same as Optimus One.
