AutoPatcher_XP_Apr2005_Full!!!! HELP !!!!!!!!!!

earlier i had installed the AutoPatcher which was available in the March DVD (not sure) .... but it gave me a lota problems and i had to reinstall Windows XP pro

i have Windows XP pro with SP2 installed....
i have VS.NET 2003 also installed ... and java runtime etc.

i wud like to know if there are any steps to be taken b4 running the 130MB autoXPpatcher??

sud i disable system restore and disable anti-virus and fireWall??? :roll:

NeVer install all dat c**** without a engg consultation my friend had the same prob(his pc slowed down a hell lot.)cuz of dis autopatcher.

Autopatcher runs well on my PC without any problems, dont know why people suffer with problems while using autopatcher.

infact DONT shut system restore ever just in case there is a problem
anyways what kinda problem ?
risk free installation : install only critical updates ...
theres this one particular update that gives me problems tho
"system restarts after sp2 installation" or something of the sort
its the first in the list
i untick it and install the rest
perfection as its best
