auto shutdown problem

hi,
my comp does not auto shutdown when i am working on winxp but does so in win98.this problem started when one day accidentally i moved the windows folder into some other folder.i corrected this problem but from then my comp does not auto shut.

try this[ run> sfc >select the scan for altered files...] in win 98..
