Guys this problem luks too big to me but somehow i feel the solution would be very simple. The problem is my desktop refuses to hibernate after the specified period of 10 mins of idle activity.
What i want to achieve is:
1. PC should hibernate on 10 mins of no activity(keyboard or mouse)
2. However if pc is connected to internet then it should not hibernate at all.
Problems faced:
1. The power settings available in win 7 ultimate 64 bit, only shows me "Put the computer to sleep" option. It doesnt show me "Put the computer to hibernate or somethin similar"
2. When i go and change the "Advanced Power settings" and change the option to "Sleep: Never" and "Hibernate: 10 mins" then also nothing happens.
3. I am unable to achieve the auto hibernate option at all, exhausted all kind of possible settings from my side. Once i achieve the hibernating capability then i would think of with and without internet connectivity.
Will i have to use a third party software if that so which one would be ideal for the needs i specified.
