Hanging, since 2004..
Currently using nero 7 , don't know how good/bad ashampoo burner is. I dont need anything beyond nero 7 currently.

nero often gives me power calibration error and spoils my cds. Ashampoo hasn't given any such error yet. The only grouse with Ashampoo is that it doesn't make video discs. Ashampoo is definitely better.

yeah, never needed to use for boot cds. So that is another negative point for ashampoo, eh? Anyways, i still get the power calibration error when i installed and tried nero 7 today. ( you mentioned Nero 7 premium. Is it free? If not, then may be the calibration problem is only with free versions.)

Broken In
The initial versions of Nero 7 had lots of bugs.. It was very unstable and would encounter unexpected errors every now n then.. But, Nero 7.5 has no such probs..
