Are these temperatures safe ?

Processor at idle is running hot, what could be the problem ?

How is temp 2 127C ? You would be making rotis at that temp.

Temp looks higher. Mine hover around 38 degrees.

Click on Sensor in HWiNFO to see the temps.


How are your temps under load ? Should not exceed 70 degrees for a good cooler. Are you using stock cooler ?

I ran Prime95 torture test for about 15 min and these are the results
the max temp for cpu was around 86 degrees

Generally, anything above 90 is when you should be worrying as dangerous periods at this temperature can ruin the lifetime and wear down your computer components.

However, temp is almost same as prolonged periods, it can effect the hardware anytime.

To overcome the problem, you can consider getting a new liquid cooling system or take regular breaks.

Did you run Small FFTs ? Because thats what generates the most heat.

If you see yours crossing over 90, stop the test immediately.

Your cooling is bad. above 80 now will probably get worse in summer. Get a good cooler or try applying a good thermal paste to your cooler and then check if it brings down the temps to 70.

Your processor is 22nm and 3.3 GHz max.

Mine runs at 4.5GHz, i5 2500k. Max temps are around 74 on Small FFTs. And it's a 32nm unit. I use an external air cooler in push pull config.

I will get an aftermarket cooler and a good thermal paste.
That should solve the heating problem.

Thats good. But check the load temps. Thats more important. Run the Small FFTs test.
