I use a Netgear dm111p Modem to connect to DataOne.

If you had been given a CD, then avoid using it as it takes time......

To configure your modem, open you Web Browser and enter 192.168.0.1 and Username: admin, Password: password

Click on ADSL settings and enter the information as given below:

Note: Don't forget to enter your DataOne Username & Password.......

 I just received your PM and wanted to know you modem's model number....Is it dm111p ??

If yes, you need to upgrade your Firmware to get it working in Vista. This is what I have done. The latest firmware 3.30j for dm111p is available here: ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/dm111p_ww_3_30j.zip.
Extract the ZIP file and perform a Firmware upgrade. You'll get the option of Firmware Upgrade in *192.168.0.1.
