AMD Processor:- Which one is better?

I have two options the amd APU A8-3870K and AMD FX 6100.



Which one of them is better for gaming(medium settings & if possible high settings) without using a discrete graphics card

I would be playing all the latest games including Crysis series, NFS Series, Battlefield series, GTA Series, Call Of Duty series, FIFA, CRICKET, Batman Arkham City& Asylum, Assassin's creed all parts, and all other games.

I will also use my PC for surfing the internet, usnig Photoshop, watching HD Movies.

Well Obviously A8-3870K is better for your purpose..
But overall performance from either wont be satisfactory..

I suggest you to save some dough & splurge a bit on better & discreet graphics for satisfaction

Better save some bucks and go for Intel's new CPUs.
When comparing Intel and AMD , don't go for the SPECS , unless you need lots and lots of cores.
AMD's CPU architecture is way inferior than Intel SB or higher , and much older Too.


I think you should look out for new SB or Ivory bridges proccessors from Intel , they will beat the Cr@p out of AMD FX in terms of gaming and lot more.

IVB even have an advanced IGP , HD4000 series.

If you have money to spend , dont think about AMD. Simply Go for Intel+Discrete GPU.

I personally don't like the Bulldozer series,specially the way they were overhyped.
Infact its better to get a Core I3-2100 than 6100,for SP games.

O/w you can settle down with AMD's APU with powerful inbuilt gfx , if money matters.

For your purpose and if budget permits, you might want to consider intel proc.

Also depends on which games you play. Onboard /On Die / w/e will allow you to play only at Low-Med setts in most games.

Also if you are not considering any discrete GPU, then A8 is better choice
and yes, mention your overall budget
