Price for Processor + Mobo: Rs. 10,000 to Rs.12000

Terms:

a) PSU will be 400w or 500w at most, no cooler will be used.
b) A cheap 1gb Gddr5 GPU of Rs. 4500 will be used.
c) Optical Drive will not be used for reduction in current consumption.

Recently loosing my i3 Sony Vaio with 465gt, I need to replace it with a desktop by the first week of october. Basic help I need is a suggestion of which AMD processor to choose with what motherboard. Sole purpose is gaming, specially FIFA. Budget strictly in the limit, any help will be appreciated.

How about the Phenom II X4 960/980 BE ? It can be safely unlocked to 6 cores with compatible motherboard.

Although Core I3-2100 , might be better at around 7K overall , but I have read some people suggesting 960Be over I3 for gaming.Maybe due to more # of Cores.

I think , AM3 mobo will be cheaper too.

Here is my suggestion :
MoBo : ASUS M5A88-M Motherboard.@5.2K
Proccy : AMD Phenom II X4 960BE, @6-7K.
Total will be around 11-12K as you specified.

There might be better models also within similiar price range.
