@ The Sorcerer: i donot know much about PSU's, so i didnt know how to check the insides of the PSU but anyway, this was the setup config...

As per his query (will cooler master 500 watts extreme psu handel hd4850 + intel e7400 properly or should i go for 600 watts cooler master psu)
So he is most likely going to have :-
Prossy = E7400
Mobo = G 31 based
RAM = 2 modules of 2GB
GFX = ATI 4850 512MB ddr3
optical drive = one
HDDs = two at most
Total system power consumption = 260 watts APX (well under 430 watts)
So some headroom still left for further upgrade or for some OC as well.

1) processor- E7400 ( 6.1 k)
2)board P5Q E (12 k) (coz P5E is not available and i submit query for GA x38 D
S5(1.1), DQ6 kindly let me know if available in nehru place and price)
3)Ram -kingston DDR2 2GB600-1200
4)Graphic card -MSI 4850 1GB OC (9.7 k)
5) Western Digital 250GB 16mb cache (2.5k)
6)zebronic B2 pro (2.9k)
7)zebronic 600 pro (4.1 k ) good psu than cooler master.kindly see specification. *www.zebronics.net/pro_600.asp
no money left for monitor and speaker so i will survive with my lg 700E and Altec lancing 3251 (wait till i rob someone )

That's under idle- what about under load? Putting the system on load depends on the applications. Stress testing software only will stress the processor, and GPU benchmarking software will stress gpu to a certain time enough to pull out the benchmarking scores.
Let's not economics now. VX450 has 33 amps. They use 16-18AWG wire. APPA fans and good products, all japanese caps, casing, etc. antec EA 430 has dual rail and its a no brainer that single rail is better than dual/multiple +12v rails. Another advantage is You are getting 5 years warranty and now price for corsair vx450 has slipped down from 4.2k to 3.9k in many places. Just by adding 400-500 bucks you are getting a much better supply. So why not just buy vx450??

Don't burn your bucks because E7400 don't require that board at all rather go for any of among these and they are available at least on this very site or any other P35 or P43 chipset based MOBO under 6K max will do.

Don't test your luck with zebronics simply get Corsair VX 450 or Antec EA 650 way better then zeb and worth every penny you pay for it.
zebronic B2 pro should cost you 1.8K max without PSU good one for that price
Finally double your storage space with aditional 300 ruppees.

Yes surly I do agree with you but in real world how many among us push our systems to the limit 24x7. Secondly yes VX 450 have advantages over EA 430 but then again I suggested it only if one is on shoe laces budget who considering Cooler master Extreme power 500 for himself which is neither 80 plus nor active PFC and only with one year warranty.
