A Good Configuration for 35k

maxonline

Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that)
A: I will be using Adobe after effects, premiere and other heavy weight movie/picture editing softwares. So basically running heavy weight softwares with casual gaming when I'm bored like GTA 4, Sims 3 etc.
2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes
3. What is your MAX budget?
A: 35000
4. Planning to overclock?
A: Not in the near future.
5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Windows 7
6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 500 GB
7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want?
A: 17" is fine.
8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 8
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Built Self.
10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: In a week.
11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: yes. I'd want the configuration to be upgradable for atleast another 2 years
12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: No
13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Kolkata and No.
14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: None

I hope you guys will suggest me a robust system within the price range i have or slightly beyond. Thank you very much.

AMD Phenom II x6 1075t @ 9.7k
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H @ 4.5k
G.skill 2 * 2GB DDR3 1333MHz @ 3k
Sapphire HD5670 @ 5k
Seagate 500GB 7200.12 @ 1.8k
LG 22X SATA DVD @ 0.9k
FSP Saga II 500W @ 2.1k
CM Elite 310 @ 1.5k
Samsung B2030 @ 6.5k

Total - 35k

1075t is good at multithreaded tasks. HD5670 is sufficient for casual gaming on 20" i mentioned. i will recommend atleast a 20" because it will give you more workspace.

Gr8 config Jas. But my suggestion will be go for 4 GB right now. Kingston Ram modules are available @ 1.5K. So @ 3K 4 GB will be available.
The reason is rm price is decreasing very rapidly. So buying another 2 GB after some time will save some money and 4 GB is actually enough for most of the applications.

I think sticking with P II X6 1055T will be better option as it is available @ 8.6K now a days as pegasus has suggested. It will save almost 1K in processor. the 0.2 GHz speed does not gonna matter much and can be over clocked easily. Both the processors are Non-BE version. Choice of GTS 450 is also better due to its CUDA support.
