You said you are "basically" building this for gaming and stuff, but what about about the main stuff. People normally write down what they need the machine mainly for.
# Ditch e8400 and go for e7300 c2d.
# Intel board sucks. Ditch it and go for gigabyte ga-g31-s3l with 3.2k.
# Ditch viewsonic since they have a very bad customer service and really horrible screen which has a history of dying after some time of usage
With the money saved go for ati 4850.
# My personal preference is transcend, g skills and corsair xms2 rams. Makes sense in the long run. 4GB will be utilised only if you have a 64 bit os- or else its 3GB in 32 bit OS.
# Ditch seagate since they have a recent history of failing. Go for Western Digital 640GB AACS (note: aaks is faster but have a higher failure rate for some reason. AACS is bit slower but lot more stable) which you get for 3.4-3.6k
# Not sure about I-ball. I rather buy coolermaster centurion or zebronics case.
# Ditch coolermaster extreme series. Literally a garbage psu since they have 70% efficiency on opterational temps of 25 degrees celcius. Its pretty silly since the room temp itself is 27 degrees and an average temp inside. Go for cm extreme plus 460w since it has 70% efficiency on 40 degrees celcius or much better corsair cx400 with 80% efficiency with operational temps tested on 40 degrees celcius. In the long run- corsair cx400 worth 2.8k-3.5k is worth the extra dough.
# Dont know about UPS, but the recommended ones I see are APC. You need to do some self research on that on your own.
# If you have space to put 5.1 in strategic locations, go for it. Or else its quiet silly to put all 5 speakers on the table. Altec lansing vs4121 2.1 speakers.

thanks The Sorcerer

but need more help guys

DP35DP have every thing i dreamt off exapt it cant OC price is gud too

Viewsonic VX2235wm-5 read a no of horror stories for VX2235wm but all r dated in late 2007 so might it be possible Viewsonic have sorted out the glitches

considered palit 4850 but they say out here its got some heating problem but sonic edition rocks but for a 2.5K price <-not acceptable

corsair cx450 is gud but expensive

I want to keep costs manageable want max bang for buck instead of the best

need a 5.1 sound system whic is best b/w 4-6k

thaks

Never heard of heating problems. Honestly ati's lcb layer is pretty strong compared to nvidia counterparts. Have you even heard ati card melting or burning into smoke? :p. You can go for the non reference design ati 4850 sonic for 11k if you want. Cx400 corsair is better considering you want to overclock. CM are anything abut good. Not sure cm 460w will be recommended with an overclocked setup. They help a long way. Besides corsair has 5 years warranty on vx450 and 3 years warranty on cx400w. I doubt one can do much overclocking on intel. I doubt you can do it in the first place. Its your call at the end of the day. Taking some time off and googling for reviews will help you make up your mind.

as you wish go for Seagate 500GB (32MB Buffer) - 3300
Intel C2D E8400 3.0GHz - 9250

Going for 450W PSU will put a load on it...So instead of 450W or 600W go for 500W
CoolerMaster RS500-PCARA3 - 2800

Now the config goes as the following:
Processor : Intel C2D E8400 - 9250
Motherboard : MSI P45 NEO3 FR - 7400
RAM : Transcend 2 X 2GB DDR2 800MHz - 2250
HDD : WD 500GB SATA2 - 3300

Bond, Desi Bond!
For gaming, you do need E8200/E8400. It really do have lot of advantage over E7300 and you have a good buget.

Go for this:

Varan's config looks great. Replace MSI P45 Neo3 with P45 Neo and replace 9600GT with HD4850 or 9800GTX+ and you are set for great gaming machine. Also, instead of getting cordless k/b and mouse, get normal k/b and mouse and get Logitech gamepad controller for PC. :)
