a 512 MBs Memory card just become 239 MBs..!

hey guys i am using this 512 MBs memory card with my MP3 player since a week. last night i put it on charge and after two hours it's just playing few songs for me. and when i checked it in my PC (my eyes got wider) its just 239MBs of memory card. what should i do to regain it back?
Memory card Info:
Type- Micro SD
File system- FAT32
Original Space- 512MB
New Space- 239MB

Please help as its is the only card i am having with me. :)

Post a screenshot, of the available memory & used memory.

Process :
1). Go to my computer.
2). Right click on the Memory Card Drive
3). Post the same screenshot with Pie Chart.

Sorry to say this, but nothing you can do I suppose...
It's a fault of Memory card. If it's still under warranty you can claim it. Or just buy a new one, they are dead cheap now. A 2GB card cost just Rs 150 now. (Assuming you need just class 1 card).

Same thing happens with the el-cheapo fake pen drives selling on street sides in those so called electronic markets. A 32 GB pen drive turns into 3.2 GB! Magically!

I guess you have not tried formatting the drive using DOS.

Give a try.

use syntax format g: [in your case G-drive].

Lets see, how it reacts.

i know this should be the best thing to do with that Memory Card.!
but if still there is a hope then why shouldn't i try! :(

well i do download this particular software, but find nothing that is to be related with WRITE TEST, about what you said above..
please give me the link of that particular software so it would be more easy for me
or
any other suggestion, please...! :)
