By the way what are you doing now a days in Game Maker ??
i hav gone thru the 2d part in GM, i am okay with it
trying n learning GML for 3d grafix n games nowadays
actually GM supports only 5-6 basic 3d shapes(cones,cubes....), but people out there make there own 3d models in 3d studio, or any other and then load these fine models into GM with the help of some software like marzipan, anim8or, my prob. is
1. i downloaded models(all ".3ds") from 3d cafe, only some of them open in
"marzipan 5.5" and very slowly, but every model is fine anim8or!!!
2. Considering those small models which open up in marzipan, they also don't work!
3. in the 3d models tutorial, i do as told n save the file(GM 6.1 script) as model1 but in the folder it comes as model1_model,model1_model0.......
why.....? "_model" at the end??
4. at last some how if i figure it all out nd run the game, GM says
"unexpected error!!" Ughhhhhhhhh.....
5. Marzipan sux, couldn't understand mosaic (don't know what the hell is it)
6. please help and tell me there is a way
By the way GAME MAKER 6 is much powerfull than anyone can imagine
GML has been forced to produce games(3d, fps, racing) that GM was never intended to .....
...all rest undone..some help 
will get them to better position...
